Joplin virtual academy enrollment down

JOPLIN, Mo. — Joplin teachers will see more students in their classrooms when school starts next week.

Three out of four kids enrolled in the district’s virtual academy are choosing to return to campus.

As of the enrollment deadline last week, 440 students signed up to study from home.

That compares to more than 12 hundred students in the fall of 2020 — which had been a massive increase from the year before.
