EDMOND, Okla. - The Pitt State Women didn't make a shot from the field in the 4th quarter, but did hit 7 of 8 from the free throw line to beat Central Oklahoma, 62-60.
After the Bronchos tied the game up in the 4th, Shelby Lopez hit both of her free throws to give the Gorillas the two-point lead, before holding off a last second shot by UCO.
Carthage's Maya Williams led the scoring with 14 points. Shleby Lopez and Athena Alvarado scored 11 points apiece in the victory.
Pitt State is now 14-2 overall with a 6-1 record in the MIAA. They continue their tour of Oklahoma on Saturday as they face Northeastern State in Tahlequah. Tip off is at 12:30PM.
