JOPLIN, Mo — In Jeff Sims’ debut as Missouri Southern coach, the team scored 21 unanswered points in the second half to cut its 27 point deficit to six. However, that was not enough as the Lions fall to Nebraska-Kearney in their season opener 39-27.
