Glades runs wild in Joplin’s bounceback win

Joplin ended their first two-game losing streak since 2016 with a 49-13 win over Republic thanks to sophomore Nathan Glades’ breakout night.

Glades took six carries for 266 yards and three scores, with all of his scores coming from 62 yards, 82 yards and 90 yards out. Isaiah Davis accounted for two scores as well, 12 and 14 yards long. 

Zach Westmoreland hauled in four passes totaling 75 yards, and showed off his big play ability with a 60 yard touchdown reception. The junior receiver also scored from three yards out of the wildcat formation and had a long kickoff return of 69 yards.

Joplin heads to Branson next week who’s coming off a 22-20 loss to Webb City.
