Galena rolls past Baxter Springs in Game of the Week

The Galena Bulldogs only needed three plays to score their first touchdown as they dominated Baxter Springs on Homecoming 69-0.

Galena Senior, quarterback, JC Shelton threw two passes to start the Bulldogs first offensive possession, before Kooper Lawson would punch it in for the games first score.

Baxter Springs would have trouble moving the ball, but a well placed punt by Senior Trey White, would flip the field for the Lions; however, on the Bulldogs first play of their second drive, Shelton ran a quarterback draw and scored from 63 yards away.

Galena would continue to capitalize on Baxter Springs mistakes as scores would come from Logan Henderson and Nick Sarwinski in the first quarter, putting the Bulldogs up 34-0.

Galena improved to 6-0 with their win and will host Columbus next week. Baxter Springs falls to 1-5 and will host Frontenac.
