Book-worms and avid writers spend their Saturday in a not-so-quiet section of the Joplin Library today.
The Joplin Public Library and Post Art Library invited the public to a Writer’s Faire, featuring more than twenty regional and local authors and writers.
Locals had books signed, heard readings from authors, and learned about resources to improve their writing and get involved in the literary community.
“We have many people here. They are very nice and very willing to share, you know, tips of the writing trade. So, i would say, come out and support the authors. If you are interested in becoming a writer, talk with them and learn how to get started,” says director of the Post Art Library, Jill Sullivan.
The event taught many to interact with target audiences in their work, and encouraged them to support fellow artists that live in their very neighborhoods.
