Joplin City Leaders will hear from residents about an odor in town as well as tackle other issues at this week’s city council meeting.
Joplin resident Tom Rogers would like to address council regarding odors in the city and surrounding suburbs.
Feedback will be provided from a petition with signatures from residents and city visitors.
Council will also look at approving a real estate exchange agreement for the parking lot near Memorial Hall.
Approval of this agreement would help construction of the performing arts center.
Another ordinance on the agenda would help future business owners receive funding to help make their buildings more energy efficient.
“Show Me PACE” helps finance new heating and cooling systems, lighting improvements as well as solar panels.
