Webb City teachers and emergency responders play basketball to raise money

Webb City fire, police, and middle school teachers lace up their tennis shoes for a friendly competition.

The Webb City Middle School hosted its twentieth annual PTO fundraiser featuring a basketball tournament between the middle school teachers and Webb City Fire and Police Departments. A few new things were added to this year’s fundraiser, such as food trucks, a silent auction, and a photobooth. And members of the school are grateful for the large turnout at tonight’s game.

“It’s amazing. We have great community support in Webb City, an outstanding PTO that does a lot of great things for our kids and our teachers. So we’re very very fortunate and it’s amazing to see the turnout tonight,” says Alicia Zornes, Webb City Middle School principal.

And all the money raised tonight will go toward Chromebooks for students, incentives for their reading program, and class parties.
