Webb City drivers will see some big upgrades in town in the coming months.
The city council has approved a plan to upgrade street signs around town. The project follows an earlier decision to expand a street overlay project to ensure a smooth surface for driving. City leaders say the goal is increasing traffic safety.
“Some of those roads are starting to see you know traffic backups. So we’re evaluating to see how, what we can do to improve the traffic flow. Not only that but to improve the safety of the motoring public,” says Carl Francis, WC City Administrator.
While sign replacement will soon get underway, the current $11 thousand dollar contract is the first in a multi-year project.
