Vaden case gets second judge change

News

The court case for a Carl Junction man accused of murder is paused after a second judge walks away from the case.

Judge Gayle Crane recused herself from the proceedings of 23 year old Jalen Vaden today. Crane was the third circuit judge put on the case after judge David Mouton recused himself from the case last month.

Judge Dean Dankelson was originally assigned the circuit case but the defense requested a change in judge. The case has been sent to presiding judge David Mouton for assignment.

Vaden is accused in the death of Jayda Kyle last year in the Carl Junction home that he shared with Kyle’s mother. He allegedly threw the three year old to the ground, causing abusive head trauma.

Vaden is scheduled to go to trial next April.
