Update: Delaware County stabbing incident

According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Alejandro Rovalcaba-Zambrano and Benjamin Chee were both stabbed by Joseph Honaker, 28, who also sustained self inflicted wounds. All three men are from the Tulsa area and work for a lawn care service.

Witnesses say around noon Thursday, Zambrano and Chee were bleeding as they ran into the Landing Market And Grill convenience store at Monkey Island.

Honaker followed them into the store, he too was bleeding from alleged self inflicted stab wounds, he then picked up a lighter and attempted to light himself on fire. When he was unsuccessful, witnesses say he walked outside and set himself on fire.
OSBI agents say this may have started with an altercation after the men pulled over on the side of Highway 125 to eat lunch, but they are still investigating the incident.

“Right now, that’s still under investigation. We’re trying to find out, trying to determine a motive. Exactly what happened, why it happened, and we’re working on that right now,” said Dale Fine, OSBI Special Agent.

The two stabbing victims suffered non-life threatening injuries. Honaker died in the hospital early this morning from his injuires.
