We sat down with the Missouri Department of Conservation to find out why the bear had to be put down.
Watch the full interview above.
A bear weighing around 150 pounds was caught just a few blocks from East Range Line on Thursday evening.
Police and animal control captured the bear by using tranquilizer darts and catch polls for safety. The bear was then released to the Missouri Department of Conservation.
The department determined to euthanize the bear because it had become too used to humans and residential neighborhoods.
