Two Joplin residents recovering from ‘mutual gunshot wounds’ after domestic incident

A male and female, both 62, are recovering from gunshot wounds in Joplin. The two suffered “mutual gunshot wounds” from a domestic violence incident on Sunday.

They drove to the hospital and received treatment afterward. The female was wounded in the leg, and the male was wounded in the chest.

Both are considered non-life-threatening injuries, however, the two are still hospitalized.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
