A possible tornado has left behind damage near Carl Junction.

Much of the damage in that area is around Fir Road and Joplin Street, just south of the city.

Large trees, limbs, and powerlines are down, as well as numerous homes have been damaged.

The Jasper County Sheriff says two people were trapped in a home in Briarbrook. They were able to be rescued by the Carl Junction fire department.

Several other cities in Jasper County are reported to have damage as well, and we are working to confirm more information.
