Three facing charges after arrest near a Joplin elementary school

Charges have been filed against three people following arrests near a Joplin elementary school yesterday. Michael Martsolf, Dalton Candelaria and Faith Jones all face multiple counts ranging from drugs to trafficking stolen identities to an active felony warrant.

Yesterday around 5:00 yesterday evening the Joplin Police Department were investigating a possible stolen Malibu at a residence on Patterson, just two blocks East of McKinley Elementary School. Officers recognized the driver as Martsolf and discovered he had meth and marijuana on him. Candelaria and Jones were both in the vehicle.

Authorities also found a loaded 9mm handgun, drugs and more than $7 thousand dollars in cash in the vehicle.
