CARTHAGE, MO – An agreement between the city of Carthage and the Missouri Department of Conservation could lead to better fishing opportunities in the Maple Leaf city.

The city and the state have been working together to maintain Kellogg Lake as a fishing site.

A new agreement could lead to a dredging project, which could help improve fish habitat on site.

The Carthage City Council approved the agreement with the state earlier this week.
