Teen arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, forgery


Around 1: 20 p.m. on Thursday, Joplin Detectives and Detectives with the Joplin Police Special Investigative Unit served a search warrant at 2212 South Grand. The home is located across the street from the Joplin High School campus.

Detectives seized approximately 46 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a rifle, and over $600 of counterfeit money. Ryan Mace-Canterbury, 17, of the home, was arrested.

He is currently being held in the Joplin City Jail with charges being submitted for possession of drug paraphernalia, delivery of a controlled substance near a school, and forgery.

Other charges or arrests are possible, and the investigation is on-going.
