SWMO freshman legislator has her first bill advance on House floor

A freshman legislator from Southwest Missouri has her first bill advance on the House floor.

State Representative Ann Kelley says House Bill 207 would give all Missourians the option to place a medical notation on their driver’s license. She says along with being her first bill, this legislation is important because it’s something many constituents asked for. Kelley says HB 207 is proof that reaching out to your elected leaders can have a big impact on state policy.

“This is what the constituents want. I’ve had numerous constituents reaching out to me, asking me, requesting me to do this, and that’s what my job is, to represent the people,” says State Rep. Ann Kelley.

The bill has been perfected, meaning the language has been finalized. Next up is a third and final vote on the House floor, which is expected to pass the bill on to the Senate.
