Suspect Arrested in Friday Night Shootings

Joplin, MO- Tobja Rodgers, 31 is charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action.  He is being held in the Joplin City Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.  

Police say Rodgers fired at two people who were walking in the 600 block of Sergeant from his car window, before driving away.  Neither person was hurt. 

About an hour later officers responded to shots fired in the 200 block of McKee.  No one was hurt in that shooting. 

Officers tracked down the car involved in both shootings and arrested Rodgers later that night.
