Students in the Missouri Southern Lion cub Academy learn about the importance of good dental hygiene.
As part of the national dental hygiene month, students in the Southern Dental Hygiene program show younger kids how to take care of their teeth. There were a variety of demonstrations, including a puppet show and even a special appearance by an expert in the field, none other than the Tooth Fairy herself.
Stacie Scrivner, Dental Hygiene Dept. Head: “We did bring our tooth fairy today because we thought that would be an added touch to help incorporate and engage our little students to enjoy oral hygiene and enjoy getting in the mouth and brushing their teeth.”
More than 90 children, ranging in age from one up to five took part in the one day event.
