Students at a local school create their own science museum

2nd grade students at Mark Twain Elementary School have been working on a project-based curriculum this year.

Those projects that students have been researching are now displayed for other students and parents to see as part of a school museum.

Students researched their topics, memorized a presentation, and then built a display.

Brodie Burris chose volcanoes.

“So I wrote a paper, and kept reading it to myself until I could read it without looking really, so then I did it and made a volcano erupt and now I’m on TV.”

Other student projects included the study of oceans, erosion, and bees.
