State question debating gas tax hike to stay on MO ballot

News

A statewide question asking whether to hike Missouri’s gas tax will stay on the ballot.

A lawsuit filed to remove the issue was rejected by the Western District Court of Appeals. The suit alleged the bill putting the question on the ballot was unconstitutional and should not go before voters. Now, Proposition D will ask whether to increase fuel taxes by ten cents to support road and bridge projects.

The election will be held on November sixth.
