A major Ottawa County bridge project is nearing completion and will soon re-open to drivers.
State Highway 10 bridges over the Spring River and Spring River overflow are scheduled to open by Monday afternoon. The road has been closed since November 2017, when work first began on the $11 million dollar project to replace both bridges.
The original structures were built in 1952 and deemed structurally deficient, which lead to the replacement. ODOT urges drivers to remain alert to crews and equipment that will still be in the area working through late fall.
