State attorneys work to create equal opportunities for the marijuana industry

News

Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter is among 33 other state attorneys hoping to create more equal opportunities for the marijuana industry.

These state officials are hoping to integrate the banking system to work with the legal marijuana industry. Congress has been considering a proposal on this, due to most banks not working with the industry for fear of legal trouble. Although states may approve marijuana in their state, it is still considered illegal by the federal government. Many officials, believe not working together is causing the economy to not do as well, due to the success and revenue the marijuana industry brings in across the nation.
