The Storm Prediction Center has placed parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri in an enhanced risk for severe weather Wednesday.
Meteorologists with the National Weather Service say the best place for storms to develop is North of I-44, across southeast Kansas, and in western and Central Missouri.
Timing will be late Wednesday evening and overnight into Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service in Springfield says, “Another round of strong to severe storms will be possible late tonight into Thursday morning. The best storm potential will be North of I-44 across SE Kansas and western & central Missouri, where hail to the size of tennis balls, wind gusts up to 70 mph will be possible. Tornadoes will also be possible and a strong tornado or two cannot be ruled out.”
