Shots fired at Miami PD officer, police searching for suspect

MIAMI, Ok. - Authorities are searching for a man they say fired shots at a Miami police officer.

The incident happened around 1:00 early Sunday morning.

The Miami Police Department says an officer attempted to make a traffic stop in the 200 block of G Street NE.

That's when police say a passenger in the back seat of the stopped vehicle jumped out and started to flee the scene. The suspect then fired multiple rounds at the officer. The officer also returned fire at the suspect.

No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect continued to run southwest of the location and police are still searching for him.

Miami Police identify the suspect as 23-year-old Justin Levi Eby of Miami. He is 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds.

Eby was being sought as a person of interest in an armed robbery in Miami last week.

Eby is considered armed and dangerous.
