Sheriff Randee Kaiser testifies in support for bill that could provide benefits to deputy sheriffs

One sheriff is speaking for a bill that could provide more benefits to deputy sheriffs.

Senate Bill 123 if passed would create a $10 dollar fee for service of any summons, subpoenas or other court order to be collected for the deputy sheriff salary supplemental fund. Jasper County Sheriff Randee Kaiser testified in support of the bill saying the supplemental fund is depleting and he wants to do whatever he can to help the men in blue.

“Anybody who is willing to put on a vest and a badge and kiss their loved ones goodnight and head out on the streets to keep the community safe while others sleep I think they all deserve at least $30 thousand dollars in salary,” says Sheriff Randee Kaiser, DSSSF Board Member.

The fund currently helps 841 deputy sheriff positions in Missouri.
