Seven people are behind bars accused of slashing tires on dozens of cars in Monett.
17 year old Charles Mitchell of Pierce City, 17 year old Dakota Mitchell of Verona, 18 year old Timothy Gilliam of Pierce City and four juveniles have been arrested, after police say they slashed 159 tires on 74 cars. Monett Police Chief George Daoud says the incidents took place in October and November of this year.
The damage from the slashings is reported at just under $22 thousand dollars. The three adults are facing counts of property damage in both Barry and Lawrence Counties. They are currently being held in the Barry County Jail.
