A Seneca pursuit leads to the arrest of two people with several outstanding warrants around Southwest Missouri.

At 12:30 Saturday night, Seneca police attempted to pull over a vehicle for speeding and suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The car did not stop, which led to a pursuit at highways U and 43.

At one point the car ran into a ditch, and then rammed a police car to flee again. The car eventually stalled and officers were able to arrest the driver, 30-year-old Blake McEvers and passenger 20-year-old Samantha Laturner.

Blake McEvers had outstanding warrants in Newton and Lawrence counties, and is now being held with three Seneca Probable Cause charges, Assault in the 2nd Degree, Driving While Intoxicated, and Driving While Revoked/Suspended.

Samantha Laturner had a warrant in Jasper county, five Joplin warrants, and two Carthage warrants. She is charged with one Seneca Probable Cause and Resisting Arrest.
