Senator Blunt plans job growth for 2017

Blunt says he wants to focus on job opportunities for families, including single-parent households. Senator Blunt says he plans to work with the President-elect Donald Trump to make the change.
 
“The top priority of the federal government is to defend the country. It’s something that we can’t do for ourselves that we expect the government to do for that, but after that, I think our top priority should be better jobs that families can have more opportunities,” explained Senator Roy Blunt. 
 
The unemployment rate in Missouri peaked in December 2009 at 9.8% and is now 5.5 percentage points lower.
