Selling lemonade to help the kids

Two young people in the Miami community are working to make a difference, in a tasty way.

Dane Jones and Harper Moore held a lemonade stand in Miami today. They did so in hopes of benefiting the non profit organization CASA.

CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, assists children in Ottawa County who have been abused or neglected. Both Jones and Harper also gave free lemonade out to firefighters, police officers and EMS.

"I wanted to help other kids because they don't have a lot of toys like I do and I just wanted to help and give back to my community,” says Harper Moore.

Moore says they raised more than $200 dollars for the organization. She adds she and Dane also hope to continue doing more activities like this to benefit the community in the future.
