While many drive to church on a Sunday, one group chose to arrive by saddle this morning.
The Round Prairie 4-H Club in Neosho rode their horses to church today as a part of National 4-H Week. Free Will Baptist Church let them hitch the horses up while owner’s attended the service. This 4-H Club has been doing “Ride Your Horse to Church Day” for nearly ten years. It’s is one of many activities for this week, including a Green Day, Fall party, and Community Service Day. One young rider says she was nervous during her first ride to church, but this year she feels a lot more confident.
“It makes me feel good, because I like to ride horses, and I enjoy it, and it was fun to ride them.” says Round Prairie 4-H Club rider Chloe Wood
Round Prairie isn’t the only group celebrating this week. 4-H organizations across the country are participating in various activities until next Saturday.
