Requirements to cast MO ballots are up in the air after recent lawsuit

The requirements to cast a ballot in Missouri are up in the air – after a ruling in a lawsuit over a photo I.D. law.

A Cole County judge ruled against making voters without I.D. sign a statement acknowledging the voting rules. The judgment also bans the state from advertising that voters need photo identification.

The Attorney General is appealing the ruling to the State Supreme Court, also asking the justices to temporarily prevent enforcement of the lower court decision. The Secretary of State expressed concerns the changes would create widespread confusion with the election less than a month away.
