Residents help those diagnosed with cancer at the Relay for Life Benefit for the American Cancer Society.
The organization held the event at Central Park in Carthage, with food, live music and silent auctions.
All the proceeds from today will benefit people suffering from cancer.
Organizers say they enjoy seeing all those who come out.
Crystal Lane, logistics chair for Carthage Relay For Life, says, “It’s incredible, too, how many people come out every year to support this event. And it’s very heartwarming. And we appreciate that support very much.”
Saturday night, they hosted the survivor’s walk portion of the event.
Last year through donations, they generated about $60,000 dollars, and this year they hope to get even more.
