The city of Neosho is set to have a public meeting about the cross that’s in one of their parks.
The city just transferred ownership of the monument last week to settle some issues surrounding the city’s ownership.
The cross sits on a hill in Big Spring Park, it’s been there since the early 1900s.
It’s been the center of controversy for a couple of months now as out of state groups have threatened city leaders with a lawsuit.
Early last week the city announced they’d transferred it to a non profit–tomorrow they’ll have an open meeting at the Lampo Community Center.
The meeting is set to begin at 6:30.
The city says this is a time for the community to discuss the recent changes.
