Beginning today, you’ll be able to shop at many local grocery stores and restaurants and help out kids with muscular dystrophy at the same time.
Price Cutter on Maiden Lane in Joplin is one of several businesses collecting money for MDA through the sale of shamrocks. The program benefits the organization’s shared mission to fund groundbreaking research and to provide services to those with the disease.
From now until March 17th, you can add one dollar, five dollars, or a larger contribution to the cost of your bill at checkout in order to receive an MDA shamrock. Proceeds from sales also go to send kids with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and other neuromuscular diseases to a specialized summer camp.
