The next group of job trainees from the Pre-Apprenticeship Career Readiness Program are graduating and in pursuit of getting sustainable work.
Since the beginning of June, these students have been in and out of the classroom getting an education and experience for the workforce. Today, they got to celebrate the end of the Pre-Apprenticeship Program with a graduation ceremony and share their appreciation with their mentors. Along with their goals of getting a job, some of the students say the best part about the program is the friends they made along the way.
“These guys that worked through the program with me we’re all pretty different, and I just love the heck out of these guys. They’re great,” says Adam Lovell.
“People over there at Catholic Charities, here at the career center- There’s a lot of people pulling for all of us, and that’s a good feeling in and of itself,” says Thomas Stinson.
The graduates then went to a job fair to show off their new credentials in hopes of finding work.
