Four State residents make their way to Joplin in support of retired canines.
Main Street Pet Care held it’s Pizza, Pints, and Police Dogs block party today.
For a small price, visitors could play games, have fun on bounce houses, watch police demos, get massages, and try out the kissing booth.
All proceeds were donated to retired Joplin and Jasper county police dogs, since handlers assume the responsibility of veterinary care after retirement.
“We not only get to interact with the active duty dogs, but the retired dogs come into the clinic and so getting to see the handlers and build the relationships with handlers and their pets after they retired is it really just makes you feel good to know that you get to give back to them.” says Margaret Cates, Main Street Pet Care Receptionist
Cates explains Main Street Pet Care is in the works of planning two fundraisers for next year.
