People from across the region come to Pittsburg to tour a mysterious local treasure.
Owners of Staneart Graham’s Castle held tours for the public today.
Graham moved to Pittsburg in the 1930’s where he built this home out of recycled materials.
Some of the materials used were rock from mines and brick from local roads.
The architecture Graham designed was innovative for this time period and his home became a local treasure.
“It’s kind of a unique structure. You won’t find anything around like it or for quite aways around, so if you have an interest in local history and architecture. Staneart Graham the guy that designed it and built it was a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright.” says Eric DeGruson, Graham’s Castle Owner
The entry fee paid by visitors goes directly to the restoration of Graham’s Castle.
The owner is also brainstorming other opportunities for the public to use this castle in the future.
