Pittsburg city commissioners choose final member to fill empty position

Pittsburg city commissioners select an active community leader to fill an empty position on the board.

Commissioners chose Daniel McNally as their fifth and final member, out of a pool of eight. Former mayor Jeremy Johnson resigned from the commission to start his new role as the Crawford County commissioner. McNally is currently on the city’s sustainability advisory committee, and works at the Family Resource Center and Spring River Mental Health.

He’s also on Boards of Directors for the YMCA and the National Alliance on Mental Illness. As a University of Kansas and PSU grad, the life-long Pittsburg resident says he is committed to serving his community.

McNally starts his term in January.
