A restaurant in the Grand Lake area is hoping to garner support for breast cancer awareness.

The Parrot Steakhouse and Grill is inviting the public to come eat sushi at their restaurant on Monday nights during the month of October. All proceeds from sushi purchased will go to the Integris Grove Foundation’s cancer department. Owner Terry Eskew of the Parrot Steakhouse and Grill says as a business owner its important he supports all those in the community that helps keep his business running.

“I mean breast cancer is a serious matter for all women and if we can make funds available to help women in need, then I think it’s a necessity that we do things like that,” says Terry Eskew.

Eskew says they are hoping they raise at least two thousand dollars to help the department. Various business owners have been donating a dollar for every sushi roll that is sold by matching them and he is encouraging community members to consider doing this. If you are willing to match the restaurants donations for the cause you can contact the Parrot Steakhouse and Grill at 918-786-7722.
