Kids and seniors bring out paints and canvases to enjoy fellowship with one another.
The Neosho Youth Volunteer Program partners with SpringHill, which is an assisted living home, to provide seniors with a day full of arts and crafts.
The non-profit organization has children of all ages who volunteer their time to promote positivity throughout the community.
Children paint alongside seniors, chatting about their excitement for the upcoming school year.
“Not everyone gets visitors all the time and you don’t always get to do activities when you have visitors and everyone loves kids and everyone loves arts and crafts. So it’s something the kids like and something the seniors like, so why not mix them together.” says Tandy Bressler, CEO of Neosho Youth Volunteer Program
Bressler continues to say she’s grateful for all of the youth volunteers that showed up today and gave their time to have fun with seniors.
