One church is joining others around the Four States in helping kids around the world this holiday season.
Wellspring Church in Webb city held its 5th annual shoe box packing party for operation Christmas Child. It’s a program through “Samaritan’s Purse” where residents can give hygiene items, toys, and school supplies for kids in need across the world. So far the church has made 176 shoe boxes full of items, with nearly eighty people helping during the packing party today. It’s also a way for kids right here in the four states to give a gift to someone their own age across the world.
“It’s a great thing for families to do together. For your kids to realize there are some kids that are happy to open a comb and you know just happy to get anything. So it’s great for our kids to be able see that they can pack a kid for their age.” says the church’s Director of Connections and Outreach Laura Pointer
