A southeast Kansas community college eliminates extra fees for online classes.
Administrators at Ft. Scott Community College say eliminating online fees will make it easier for students to earn college credits. With this move, online classes and traditional campus based classes will cost the same amount. They say for some students, this could make the difference in continuing their education.
“I really think this helps students that are having to work forty plus hours a week, going the online route, and at Ft. Scott Community College we offer three fully online associates degrees, whether it’s the associate’s of arts the associate’s of science or the associate’s of general studies degree,” says Matt Glades, Director of Admissions at FSCC.
