One arrested after Joplin drug bust

News

One person is arrested overnight after a drug bust in Joplin.

Just before midnight, Four States Homepage Digital Reporter Shannon Becker, received calls of a door being busted down in the 800 block of South Connecticut.

After arriving on scene, he learned the Ozark Drug Enforcement Team had served a warrant at the residence and one person was taken into custody by Joplin officers for possession and distribution of narcotics. Those charges are pending with the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office.

One neighbor tells us there was a green light on the porch of the house and when it was on, they observed continual traffic coming and going from the residence.

We also saw a vehicle being searched two blocks south of the area. It’s alleged that vehicle was driving away from the residence that was raided. Two people were seen being detained.

A similar operation happened two nights ago at a residence on South Byers, where one woman was arrested  for possession and distribution. Those charges are pending with the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office as well.
