Starting June 12th, the park will be temporary closed as a group called “Historicorp” comes in to rehabilitate the place where George Washington Carver got his start. The goal of the group is to restore historic places. Historicorp plans to remove a porch, cement patio, and sidewalk. They will also backfill and regrade former sidewalks, the front patio and lean-to additions.
“So, Neosho is growing, Neosho is prospering and just exciting stuff,” said Charles Collinsworth, Neosho Mayor.
The park will harbor the volunteers throughout three sessions of the project and open back up July 2nd.
