The push toward the November election is getting more serious in one Southwest Missouri town.
The Newton County Republican party hosted a grand opening for its new location at Harmony and Neosho Boulevard. A number of county and state candidates attended the gathering, emphasizing the importance of connecting with local voters.
“Well you can come by the headquarters here and sign up to be a volunteer to help us out, to get information on the various events we have upcoming,” says Nick Myers.
“I think this is what it’s all about – grassroots. I mean people don’t realize, especially on statewide races like Josh Hawley, it’s the 7th District historically you have to turn out the votes down here,” says Billy Long.
The Neosho office will be open six days a week, from ten a.m. to five p.m.
