New Oklahoma law prevents taxing plastics, other packaging materials

A new Oklahoma law prevents cities from taxing or even banning plastic and other materials used for packaging

The focus is on plastic bags but it includes aluminum, glass, cloth and paper.
It’s an effort to try and keep Oklahoma eco friendly.
Supporters say the bill helps keep plastic and other non bio-degradable materials out of the enviorment.
While others think the law steps on the toes of local cities.
But it will go into effect in 90 days after the legislative session ends.
