New Miami ordinance prohibits indoor e-cigarette use in city facilities

The Miami city council is now enforcing a no vaping or e-cigarette use rule in Miami city facilities or properties.

It’s part of a goal to make the city a certified healthy community. This applies to city parks, buildings, and the miami fairgrounds. The new ordinance will also assist the city in qualifying for grants to allow for revitalization.

City leaders say they need the public’s help in following the ordinance. The city already has an ordinance prohibiting people from smoking tobacco products on city property.
