More than 500 people came, and some even dressed up astheir favorite characters.
There were several featured guests and vendors that displayed comic book artwork and collectibles.
One woman never thought this would be held in a small town like Neosho, but she is glad she got to see all the Star Trek gear, which has been her favorite since childhood.
Star Trek fan Gabrielle Boyd says, “Growing up I got to see a lot of the Star Trek, Spock is one of my favorite characters. I’m not a super fan like a lot of people, but it does have a deep connection with me and with my childhood, watching it with my mom on the couch on rainy days and stuff.”
The Neosho Arts Council hosted Artcon. Money raised during this event will go towards restoring murals in downtown Neosho.
